Sialendoscopy in Delhi

Salivary glands are the glands which are responsible for producing saliva in our body. There are six major and many minor salivary glands in human body. These glands can get swollen up by numerous conditions but most common non-neoplastic condition remains chronic inflammation of salivary gland called chronic sialoadenitis and salivary gland/ duct stone.

Earlier the only treatment available was the removal of the affected salivary gland. But with the advent of salivary gland endoscope called sialendoscope it has become possible to treat the under lying cause of non-cancerous swelling like duct stone, stenosis without the removal of the gland. So, in other words we can now save the gland for those conditions for which earlier gland removal was the only option.

Sialendoscopy in Delhi is only done in a very few centres and very few doctors are offering this treatment modality. Although in abroad this is done in office setting but here we offer this in Operation theater settings and obviously this requires special endoscopes and equipment.
