This type of headache is typically described as feeling of tightness or pressure or band like sensation, generally occurs at vertex, forehead, eyes, temple may also involves neck muscle like trapezius.

It may lasts for many hours and pain is generally constant and is usually present on waking. Pain killers may not be of any benefit in this .

These may be :

  • Infrequent episodic
  • Frequent episodic
  • Chronic: This may be continous or may lasts for more than 15 days a month.

These patients generally think that this headache is due to sinusitis.
