Are there chances of getting the nasal polyps again after the surgery?
Nasal Polyps are soft tissues which grow from the lining of the nasal cavity and sinuses. When they become large, they cause nasal obstruction and difficulty in breathing.
They are mainly related to allergies, asthma or some long standing infection. After surgery, in some percentage of cases, they may come back. So, it is very important that patient should come for follow up as advised by the doctor, so that they can be diagnosed early and treated with nasal spray. Sometimes, oral medication may also be needed. So the key is regular follow up after the surgery.
