How long does a cochlear implant surgery last?
Cochlear implant surgery generally takes two to two and a half hours to complete but the time may vary depending upon the type of anatomy of the inner ear and medical condition of the child. After the surgery the patient is observed in the post-operative recovery room and then the patient is shifted back to the room. The patient is generally discharged after a day or two depending on the situation.
