How long does it take to recover after balloon sinuplasty?
Balloon sinuplasty is a minimally invasive procedure to treat chronic sinusitis. As there is no cutting of the tissues as in tradition Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery(FESS), so, the recovery time is faster comparatively. The procedure is commonly conducted in general anesthesia but can be done in local anesthesia also. Post-operative cleanings are not frequently required as there is minimal trauma so there is minimal crusting and clotting. The patients who underwent the balloon sinuplasty procedure only can resume their work in 2-3 days..
