Will my hearing become normal after hearing aid?

Majority of the patients after 65 years of age generally have presbyacusis or age-related hearing loss and this is generally managed by hearing aids if the patient is having problem in day to day activity. The hearing aid helps in managing the hearing loss by providing adequate amplification with cancellation of the unwanted sound. It does not cure the hearing loss nor it fixes the damage which has caused the hearing loss. Like spectacles provides help in managing diminished vision, the hearing aid helps in diminished hearing. The hearing aids also have their limitations as the best aids can also provide help if the hearing loss is less than the severe category.
